Lars C. Stene is a senior researcher at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health. He is also affiliated with Oslo Diabetes Research Centre, at Oslo University Hospital. He received his PhD in epidemiology from the University of Oslo (2002). As a post doctoral fellow he worked with Professor Marian Rewers and collaborators at the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes in Colorado. In addition to general interest in the epidemiology, pathogenesis and prognosis of diabetes, his main research interest is natural history and risk factors for type 1 diabetes.
