The cover picture was drawn by Chia Hui Min from Singapore when she was 7 years old. She describes her feelings about the drawing as follows: 'I felt very sad when I was diagnosed with diabetes. My parents advised me to face the reality bravely, that diabetes is not the end of the world. I must maintain good glucose control by diet, insulin and exercise. Eventually I hope to control my diabetes perfectly.'
